Every portfolio on BestPortfolio is reviewed by hand before it is listed. The badge carries that review to your own website.
Why designers wear it
Someone else has checked your work.
Recruiters and clients see that the BestPortfolio editors reviewed your portfolio before listing it.
One click to your BestPortfolio page.
Visitors can open the badge and go straight to your page on BestPortfolio.
It keeps itself up to date.
New badges and your visitor count appear on your site by themselves, with no new code.
Six badges, earned two ways
The editors choose some badges and the numbers decide the rest. Every badge you earn appears on your website by itself.
Approval
Verified
The BestPortfolio editors have reviewed and approved your portfolio.
Chosen by the editors
Featured
The editors feature your portfolio. It shows while your portfolio stays featured.
Portfolio of the Month
The editors choose one portfolio a month. Yours to keep, with its month and year.
Earned by the numbers
Top 10
Your portfolio is one of the 10 most viewed on BestPortfolio. It shows while it stays there.
Views
Your portfolio reaches 1K, 10K, 100K or 1M views here, each person counted once. Every tier is kept.
Site visitors
Your own website has at least 100 visitors in the last 30 days, counted by the badge.
Red appears in a badge only when an editor chose it. Kept badges stay with you, and the others show while they still apply. A Top 100 tier opens once 200 portfolios are listed.

Paste one line of code
Copy it from the Badges tab in your dashboard, paste it into your site and press Check.
Add the badge to your website
Paste the line once and every page carries the badge. Pick where your site is built for the exact steps.
<script async src="https://bestportfolio.in/badge.js" data-portfolio="your-portfolio"></script>This example uses your-portfolio in place of your name. The real line, with your own name in it, is in the Badges tab of your dashboard. It is the same on every platform. Only where you paste it changes.
Where is your site built?
Add the badge in Framer
- 1Open your project in Framer and go to Site Settings.
- 2Open General, find Custom Code and click Add script.
- 3Name it BestPortfolio badge.
- 4Set Placement to End of body.
- 5Leave Page on All and Run on Once.
- 6Paste the code into the code box and click Add.
- 7Publish your site.
The badge shows on the address registered with your portfolio, so publish to that address.
What the code does
In plain words, here is everything the line does on your website.
- One small script
- It loads without holding up your page, so your own content comes first.
- Only on your website
- The badge shows only on the website registered with your portfolio. On any other address it draws nothing.
- A daily visitor count
- It counts visitors to your website once per person per day, so the Site visitors badge can show a number.
- No cookies, no IP addresses
- It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your visitors' browsers. IP addresses are never stored: the daily count uses a one-way hash that changes every day.
- Your choice to show it
- You can hide the visitor count in your Badges tab.
Questions
The badge does not appear on my site. What should I check?
Check that you published your site after pasting the code, that you are looking at the website registered with your portfolio, and that the line is the one from your Badges tab. Then press Check in your Badges tab. It tells you what it found.
Does the badge slow my site down?
No. The script loads with async, so the browser keeps building your page while it loads, and the badge appears once it is ready.
Can I change how the badge looks later?
Yes. Placement and theme are set in your Badges tab and saved on BestPortfolio, so the line on your site never changes. New badges also appear by themselves.
Does it work on a preview or staging address?
No. The badge only shows on the website registered with your portfolio. On a preview, staging or any other address it draws nothing, so nobody else can borrow it.
What happens if my portfolio is no longer listed?
The badge needs an approved portfolio. If your portfolio is no longer approved, the badge stops showing and nothing else on your site changes.
Can I remove the badge?
Yes. Delete the line from your site and publish it again. The badge is gone on the next page load.
Who can see my visitor count?
Once you earn the Site visitors badge, anyone who opens the badge on your site sees its number. You can hide that badge in your Badges tab. The daily figures are only shown to you, in your Badges tab.
